Night train from Berlin to Stockholm

Travel on the overnight sleeper from Berlin and arrive in Stockholm in the early afternoon the following day.

The Euronight overnight sleeper service, run by the Swedish operator SJ, connects Berlin to Stockholm picking up passengers along the way in Hamburg, and dropping off the following morning in Copenhagen, Malmo, Linköping, and Stockholm.

Timetable: Departs Berlin Haupbahnhof 21.09pm, arrives Copenhagen 6.03am, Malmo 6.30am, Linköping 11.21am, and Stockholm 13.17am (always check with the operator for the latest timings when you book and before boarding). Trains run daily.

Sleeping arrangements: Seats, couchette cars and sleeping cars

Berlin to Amsterdam tickets provided by Rail Europe, which also allows you to buy tickets for multiple train operators in multiple European countries - handy if you're travelling throughout and beyond Sweden by train. It does charge a small booking fee, but offers several useful facilities, such as a free email alert service to let you know as soon as bookings open for your chosen route so you can snap up the cheapest tickets when they become available.
