Our three Boghill holiday workshops run consecutively and can be combined. Guests can choose a full selection of nature based Eco Experiences, Ceramics and Traditional Irish Music or they can home in on a personal focus from the programme.

Traditional Irish Music
Our Traditional Irish Music workshops are open to people who play a traditional instrument. All instruments (both melodic and accompanying), levels and abilities are catered for, whether you are a beginner or an accomplished player. We invite a different musician to come in to teach each day and aim to cover all instruments of those participating in the workshop. The workshops are very relaxed and friendly - we believe music is supposed to be fun. Early evening a Music Clinique will take place each day where you can get advice on technique.

Eco Experience
A 5 day interactive “Eco Experience” of nature based and creative activities offered by a key member of the Burren Ecotourism Network. This package includes Cob building, Organic Gardening, Wild Life Surveying, Ceramics, Flax Weaving, Natural Sculpture making, a Guided Burren Walk or Guided Bird Watching Tour, Vegetarian Cooking and optional Holistic Therapies and evening Traditional Irish Music and Dancing sessions in the local pubs. Designed to create an awareness of environmental interaction and how to get closer to nature, the programme includes components of nature interpretation and education as well as being fun and creative. All activities use resources found on the Boghill estate – clay, flax and willow as well as the rich biodiversity of animals and plants
We offer an Eco Holiday with a difference - in the words of a previous visitor “a series of very enjoyable experiences in a beautiful secluded natural haven”

Our Ceramics workshops are suitable for the inexperienced as well as the experienced to create something magical, functional, obscure, weird, practical or anything you fancy. Even if you have never touched clay in your life, with the help of our experienced ceramicist you can create whatever you want. (well almost). The clay we use is dug straight from our own land, then hand prepared ready for your creations. You will experience all stages of the clay making process even the digging if you are game - wellies will be provided! At the end of the week you will be going home with not only your own work but also a whole week of experience and fun.

The Boghill Centre is a residential venue for courses, events, conferences etc with a focus on Traditional Irish Music, Holistic workshops and Eco training activities. It is situated in a natural bogland setting in the North of County Clare at the foot of the stunning wild Burren landscape and not far from the coast. Although only two miles from Lisdoonvarna and three miles from Kilfenora it has a quiet and secluded atmosphere making it the perfect place to unwind and relax.

Boghill is a sustainable complex with a strong Environmental policy set in 50 acres of land. The grounds include organic vegetable and fruit gardens, a nature trail, a stone circle, a wildlife pond, a reed labyrinth, a chicken coop and pig pen, an orchard, and several recently planted native woodland areas. Our mantra is reduce, reuse, recycle and our ethos is based on creating an environmentally sustainable business having a minimal impact on the earth. All meals are vegetarian and as much food as possible is sourced from our organic vegetable garden, fruit beds and orchard. All these areas are fertilised with our own compost and horse manure and managed without the use of pesticides or other chemicals.
