Why we've chosen Tir-Cethin Farm

This is a fantastic base for an adventure into the Welsh wilderness, and the owners offer a discount for anyone arriving by public transport - there's even a free bicycle hire for all guests. During your stay you can try your hand at pony-trekking, walking and kite surfing. Trains to Gowerton run regularly from London Paddington, taking around 3 and a half hours with a change at Newport Gwent.  Once at the station, you can be collected with prior arrangement.

Tir Cethin Farm, comprised of The Llaethdy (Dairy) and Beudy (Shed), has been awarded Gold by the Green Tourism Business Scheme, with energy saving features that range from underfloor heating sourced from a ground source heat pump and hot water courtesy of solar thermal panels, to double insulation and the addition of A/A+ rated appliances. Guests are encouraged to use the recyling bins provided for glass, plastic, paper, metal and cardboard. There's also a food waste bin, the contents of which is composted.
