Why we've chosen Kingfisher Lodge:

Inside Kingfisher's luxury eco lodge
Two double bedrooms one ensuite, a great family size wet room bathroom with a shower and a bath. There's a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as an open plan living and dining area complete with television, DVD and CD players, and a range of board games. The living area leads onto a spacious private terrace while the Mezzanine provides an ideal place to relax on beanbags or sofa bed while gazing out over the balcony. There's also a cycle store and drying room.

What to see and do
Lying at the foot of the Quantock Hills, Kingfisher lodge is surrounded by miles of footpaths and quiet roads to explore on foot, bike or horseback while also being close enough to the coast that you could spend the day surfing, or soaking up the sun's rays. Nearby Taunton offers great shopping, several theatres, a cinema, spas and several golf courses. Also nearby is Coleridge Way, a 36 mile waymarked walk through the stunning Somerset countryside, following in the footsteps of famous romantic poet Coleridge. Other activities include horse riding at nearby Manor Farm, sampling wines at Oatley Vineyard and strolling through the lush greenery of Hestercombe Gardens.

Mill Meadow Eco Lodges are less than 2 hours from London by train but seem a million miles away - a very tranquil base to explore the beautiful Quantock Hills and the Somerset countryside. It would be a fantastic place for a big family party.'
