Why we've chosen Blue Seas Hotel

Located within meters of Penzance's promenade the hotel looks out over Mount's Bay. The hotel itself is a gorgeous grade II listed property built in 1836 and set in a Regency terrace minutes from Penzance town center making it one of the best positioned hotels in Penzance.

We have designed our rooms with the sort of places we would like to stay in mind. They are all en-suite, most of them having spectacular sea views over Mount's Bay towards Newlyn. All the bedrooms have a colour TV, central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, home made biscuits and delicious organic Cornish fudge.

On the ground floor overlooking the garden and the sea front you will find a spacious guest lounge and reading room with the latest novels, informations about our region, games and a selection of daily newspapers. We also offer now a free WI-FI internet service in every rooms and laptop for guests use in the lounge. The hotel is completely non smoking.

Our central location provides an ideal base to visit Land's End, St Michael 's Mount, Sennen Cove, the Minack Theatre, Mousehole, St Ives or the magnificent Cornish gardens.

Breakfast is an important start to any holiday. We prepare a fantastic selection of breakfasts; from the traditional full English and the continental buffet with fresh fruits, variety of cereals, yogurts, croissants, and home-made brioches, bread, jams and marmalade, etc..to the eggs benedict and fresh pancakes.

We also serve a vegetarian option and, for fish lovers, our traditional Kedgeree as well as scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. All ingredients are locally bought and freshly cooked and our breakfasts has been awarded by the AA and Visit-England with a breakfast award.

Why is this a greener holiday?

To truly minimise the environmental impact, guests are encouraged to arrive by public transport: the nearest train station is Penzance. The property is located at about 1/2 mile from the station. Just follow the water front until the beginning of the Promenade and it’s on the right hand side.

Onsite the owners have taken a number of green measures to reduce the environmental impact of their tourism business, earning them Gold status from the GTBS. The electricity and gas is sourced from a green supplier. Flow reducers have been installed on the taps. The owners purchase products with less packaging and kitchen waste is composted or used in the wormery. The meal ingredients are sourced from local producers to support the local economy and reduce food mileage. They use organic, rainforest alliance and fair trade products when available.
