Why we've chosen Beacon Hill Farm

These 15 self-catering cottages, sleeping 2-6, are set within 15 acres of landscaped gardens on a 360-acre estate and are perfectly placed to explore the Northumberland coast and Cheviot Hills. The cottages are well-equipped with granite or hardwood kitchens, comfy sofas and real fires, but it’s the shared facilities that really set Beacon Hill apart. Sip a complimentary tea or coffee beside the swimming pool, unwind in the gently-scented black granite steam room or in a sauna made from Canadian redwood or in a Jacuzzi with views of the Northumberland hills. A more unusual Laconium therapy room creates the effect of a mild Bavarian sauna – a warm room with four heated body-form beds and aromatherapy oils, this is where guests go to snooze for an hour or so. There’s also a games room, an orangery, a garden room that opens on to a terrace and a beauty salon offering pampering packages. Nearby, you’ll find Alnwick and Bamburgh Castle, historic Morpeth with its local market and bagpipe museum, Hadrian’s Wall and the magnificent coast.
