Holidays in North Wales, Wales
Snowdonia is one of the highest mountains in the UK and the National Park that surrounds it is a walker’s paradise, a fact marked every year by the Prestatyn & Range Walking festival when locals take to the hills and celebrate their wild and beautiful landscape.
If Snowdonia is too busy for your liking, then head to the second highest peak in the area, Cadir Idris. Sandwiched between the reds and greens of the national park, the wild coast and a misty estuary, climbing Cadir Idris is a mystical experience. Close by is the newly renovated Coed y Brenin, a world-class mountain-biking centre in the heart of the National Forest. Further north, the Llyn Penninsula has some of the UK’s best surfing beaches and some great sailing opportunities. Or, for family friendly fun head to the Rhyd-y-Creuau Field Centre for wildlife tours and adventure activities.
