Detailed itinerary

Option 1: via Paris and Geneva

Sample itinerary: Take any Eurostar from St Pancras to Paris-Nord. From there, transfer to Paris-Lyon to catch the TGV Lyria high-speed service to Geneva. Upon arrival in Geneva, simply change platform to take a local direct train to Martigny station, and from there you can catch one of the many buses that depart to Verbier roughly every hour.
Price: From £170 return to Martigny
Leg 1:

London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord in the heart of Paris. Don't forget check-in time for Eurostar is at least 30 mins before departure.

First train departs 0540 (Mon-Fri), 0618 (Sat), 0819 (Sun).

Last train departs 2001 (Mon-Sat), 2031 (Sun).

Frequency of service: 18 trains Mon-Thur, 20 trains Friday, 22 on Saturday, 17 on Sunday.


Journey time: From 2 hrs 16 mins

A relatively quick train trip from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon. From the Eurostar platform, turn left, walk down the stairs and follow the signs for RER ligne D (which will be signposted 'direction' 'Melun', 'Malesherbes' or 'Corbeil Essonnes'). It's just 2 stops from Gare de Nord to Gare de Lyon and takes a little over 10 minutes (plus there's a short 5 minute walk to the connecting TGV departure platforms), but we recommend you leave at least 50 minutes for the entire transfer.

Leg 2: Paris Gare de Lyon to Genève Cornavin

Buses from Martigny to Verbier generally depart at 13 minutes past the hour, or thereabouts, beginning at 06:16 and ending at 20:13. The journey lasts approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes.
