Greentraveller Guides
Welcome to greentraveller's guides to sustainable destinations. Written and researched by our team of travel writers, the aim of these guides is show you how you can visit these wonderful destinations in a way that has a low impact on the environment and a positive effect on the livelihoods of the local people, providing residents and visitors with a genuine sense of place.
Each guide lists a selection of green and gorgeous places to stay, the best places to eat and drink, and suggestions for the best days out, multi-day activities and family holidays. We have also included maps and information on how to travel to the destinations overland by train or ferry and how to get around on foot, and by bicycle, public transport, and in some cases, even by horse...
We'll be adding more of these destination features this summer, including more National Parks, AONBs and other specific regions in Wales, England, Scotland, and other regions in Europe.
