Holidays in Andalucia, Spain
Andalusia is one of our favourite holiday destinations in Europe, crammed full of everything we love to do on holiday, dominated by a slow-pace and eco vibe. There are two breathtaking National Parks in the region, meaning you are never short of activities and adventure. The Donana Natural Park, home to flamingos and vast grasslands, is only available if you book through a guide, whilst the Sierra Nevada is open to anyone willing to leave their vehicle behind and explore on foot, bike or horseback. Sadly some of the Costa del Sol has been tainted by development but there are still plenty of beaches, like Axarquia, that are blissfully untouched.
Alongside outdoor activities, Andalusia has heaps of culture on offer. The urban centers of Seville, Cordoba and Malaga all have beautiful old towns and classic Spanish squares to wander through. At night the cities and towns of Andulucia come alive with tapas bars and fiestas and the region is home to a number of local festivals throughout the summer. For a relaxed cultural excursion Ronda’s Moorish architecture is a must, as is the magnificent Alhambra Palace in Grenada.
