How do you fancy tackling what is quite possibly one of the most iconic mountain biking trails through Scotland? Simply one of the most challenging and enjoyable bike trips around, this self-guided Scottish Coast to Coast holiday lasts 7 days and allows you to tackle the entire 200 mile track at your own pace, pausing when you like for a breather or to admire the rugged Highlands in all their beauty. Offering up both smooth, manmade paths and natural single tracks, you'll be able to combine some top notch mountain biking with the added bonus of getting to experience Scottish culture and hospitality.
Highlights include exploring the Nevis Range and and the challenging manmade tracks of 'The Witches Trails' forestry centre, as well as a full day of off-road cycling as you climb up over Ryvoan Pass and descend down towards Tomintoul. While it is by no means an endurance marathon, the trip is rated Moderate to Strenuous (as you might expect from a 200-mile adventure through the Highlands), so you'll need to have a good few mountain biking miles under your belt before tackling it. Every night you'll be able to bed down in a comfy B&B or guesthouse so you can rest your weary legs and get some good local food in you.
