It's not everyday that would can help feed a red kite. Of course, there are many things to do in this region that would not do every day, part of which is simply waking up to a rolling landscape of forest and hills just outside the window. Sitting by a cosy fire after a refreshing walk on the beach would be another, as would be walking through a forest only to be met by a red deer. Then perhaps going fisihing in the Border Esk or the Urr or visiting the white swans on the Carlingwark Loch next to Castle Douglas.
