This trip offers a great chance to recharge your batteries and relax in the beautiful surroundings of a stunning mountain top villa in the Apuane Alps, at Col di Lavacchio. You'll be given the freedom to explore the impressive array of hilltop villages, tranquil rivers, verdant valleys and thick beech forests, as well as being rewarded with some fantastic views out over the Apuane Alps.
As well as being great fun, Nordic walking is also a fantastic means of keeping fit, allowing you to follow some really rewarding trails and paths with the aid of walking poles. You won't have to worry about missing out on the cultural side of things either, with a trip to the fascinating medieval walled city of Lucca.
Brief Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrival in Lavacchio
Days 2-4:
Spend the next three days exploring 'Wild Tuscany'. You'll trek out on 3 Nordic walks, each of which offers a different aspect of this beautiful region. You'll get to explore ancient hilltop villages, tranquil rivers, verdant valleys and thick beech forests, all the while looking out over the Apuane Alps. You'll not miss out on culture either, with walks through the medieval city of Lucca. Every day you'll head back to the comfort of your Lavacchio villa.
