On Thursday 6th August, at 12:55pm (GMT+1) a group of enthusiastic travel professionals will meet online with an aim to quash some of the confusion and disagreement around ‘green travel.’ We’ve all experienced green-washing and now it’s time to clean up the debate.

To help us do that we have invited four great speakers to share their thoughts and answer our questions. The panellists are well qualified to do this, as active contributors and public voices across the responsible tourism arena. They include:

• Martin Dunford – co-founder of Rough Guides

• Richard Hammond – founder of greentraveller.co.uk and author of the new Rough Guide book called Clean Breaks - 500 new ways to see the world

• Catherine Mack –travel writer and author of Ecoescape Ireland

• Edwin Sabuhoro – founder of Rwanda Ecotours, a grass root community tourism company that is featured in Clean Breaks.

During the 60 minute webinar the panellists will give short presentations about their viewpoint on the title ‘Is a green traveller a contradiction in terms?’ The audience then has the opportunity to ask questions via the interactive chat box on the screen.
