Details of Adriatic Coast Cycling Trip
This is an exceptionally beautiful coast-to coast cycling trip from the Adriatic Sea to Rome, starting in Conero National Park and passing by ancient Roman ruins and historic sites. Crossing the Appennini Mountains by the Sibillini National Park, we will enter Rome through an ancient roman way, Via Salaria. In Rome we will spend the last day exploring the city’s many marvels by bike!
We start at one of best places in Adriatic area, at 500mt above the wonderful seaside: Monte Conero National Park. The first part of the trip will take us to special places like Giacomo Leopardi's house, the religious town of Loreto, Macerata where arts are a big part of the city and Urbisaglia where Italy's biggest archaeological park show us an ancient Roman village. After a nice immersion in history and culture it's time to head to the Sibillini Mountains, another National Park where legends and fairies are known to preserve Nature for us. From this magic land we head to Rome along an historical Roman way, Via Salaria, built to trade salt during the Roman Empire. Once in Rome we will spend the last day together pedalling around the city's sites and seeing history like never before.
