Mountain Biking the Tour du Mont Blanc, France

Many consider this to be a ride of a lifetime, following famous mountain passes and singletracks as you take a round trip from Chamonix, passing through France, Italy and Switzerland in just one week. You'll challenge yourself against some of the highest Mountain passes in Western Europe, including the Col de Balme, the Grand Col Ferret and the Col de la Seigne. On top of that, you'll get to visit a number of picturesque Alpine villages including Martigny, Courmayeur and Les Contamines Montjoie, not to mention getting to spend a night in the beautiful Reguge des Mottets.
Brief Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrival
Day 2:
Leave Chamonix and pass through the valley of Chamonix to Argentiere and Le Tour on your way to Switzerland. You'll get to travel on the gondola to the top of the Col de Balme before arriving in Trient.
Day 3:
Start off with an ascent of Col de la Forclaz before descending into Martigny and on towards the Swiss Val Ferret. Finally arrive in La Fouly, beneath the Grand Col Ferret.
Day 4:
Climb the Grand Col Ferret, one of the three major passes of the Tour du Mont Blanc. Revel in the outstanding views before heading back down to Arnuva and possibly climbing to la Lechere, before arriving in Courmayeur.
Day 5:
Arrive in Lago Checroui and follow a balcony trail that offers great views of many famous peaks, as you climb the Col de la Seigne bringing you back into France. A fantastic descent into Les Mottets and a great overnight stay in the Refuge des Mottets.
Day 6:
Opening with a road climb to Cormet de Roselend, today will then involve a descent to Lac de Roselend and a fantastic climb to the Col de la Gittaz. Finally descend to Col to Joly and towards the village of Les Contamines Montjoie after 900m of descent!
Day 7:
Your final day starts off with a climb to the mountain village of Chalet de Miage at the foot of a giant glacier. Then climb the Col de Voza and complete a final technical descent into Chamonix to end up back where you started.
