Often described as the 'Walkers' Haute Route, this 13-day alpine trekking adventure cuts a linear route right across the European Alps, linking together Chamonix, Arolla and Zermatt. As it is largely much lower than the Classic Haute Route, this trip is an easier option for those looking to explore the Alps while surrounding themselves with alpine scenery.

From Chamonix, you'll trek into the Swiss canton of Valais and pass beneath 10 of the 12 highest peaks in the Alps, including Mont Blanc itself. As part of the lower route, you'll encounter verdant valleys, picturesque hamlets and flower-strewn meadows. The final two days will involve trekking the recently opened 'Europaweg', a valley-sided walking trail with great views of the Matterhorn.

Overnight accommodation comes in the form of small hotels, cosy gites and alpine mountain refuges. You'll be led by experienced English guides and will be fully supported with access to luggage on all but three nights.
