There were recent celebrations of the 100th year of the Haute Route, a long distance thrilling ski touring route. The route is now the most coveted ski touring itinerary linking two of the most iconic mountain resorts, Chamonix in France and Zermatt in Switzerland. 100 years ago it was originally being devised by the gentlemen climbers of the British Alpine Club and first skied in 1911. Mont Blanc Highlights, France

The circuit of Mont Blanc is one of the finest walking routes in the Alps. It is in reality a series of paths linking the seven valleys that surround the highest mountain in Western Europe, Mont Blanc. To complete the whole circuit normally takes a fortnight, but for those with less time this one-week Exodus tour takes in the most outstanding sections with beautiful mountain highlights each day. Throughout the holiday we are based in the delightful Chalet Chamonix with dramatic views of Mont Blanc and use private buses to travel out each day to re-join the next stage of our walk covering beautiful secitons of the famous circuit. At the end of each day we return home for afternoon tea or for those who wish a dip in the chalet’s bubbling Jacuzzi.. Using your own transport you will travel out each day to rejoin the next stage of the walk; most transfers are short, and after each day's walk you will return to the chalet, avoiding the need to carry luggage, or pack and unpack each day.
