Holidays in Tuscany, Italy

If you want to sample a little bit of everything Italy has to offer then you can’t really go wrong by heading to Tuscany. Not only does the region contain some of the country’s finest cities, but is also home to sweeping fields of sunflowers and lavender, rugged mountains, glamorous ports, rustic farmhouses and quaint terracotta villages.

If arriving by train then Florence is the best place to start. The city has some of the finest galleries and museums in the whole of Europe and an incredible Duomo. Make the most of your time by booking on one of our day activity tours from learning how to make your own Fresco to viewing active workshops in the artisan districts. If Florence gets too hectic then smaller Pisa, Sienna and Lucca all have breath-taking architecture and pretty squares filled with good restaurants. For a more active holiday head out into the wilderness and try mountain biking over the Italian Apennines, go on a walking holiday over ancient-rolling hills or head to the Tuscan coast for water-based activities.
