When: June 23 - 27, 2010

Where: Glastonbury, Somerset, UK

2010 Headliners: Stevie Wonder, Muse, U2; alongside Jackson Browne, Laura Marling and MGMT

Interesting fact: It's the largest 'greenfields' festival in the world welcoming 177,000 people in 2009

HOW GREEN IS GLASTONBURY?

  • Most of the festival's energy is generated by on site solar and other renewable energy generators
  • 'Green police' encourage festival goers to use the toilets, bins and recycling facilities provided
  • Caterers and stall-holders can only use wooden cutlery, full compostable cups and plates and cotton bags
  • Glastonbury has their own mantra 'Love the Farm, Leave No Trace'
