Glamping

Glamping is the buzzword for glamorous camping or, as we like to call it, fancy camping!

The idea is that it is upmarket camping, so you're likely to sleep in a comfortable bed in a yurt, tipi or dome - basically something more than just a sleeping bag in a traditional canvas tent. They're usually already erected (so you don't have the hassle of putting them up yourselves) and are hard standing on firm ground.

But a word of warning... don't expect it to be like staying in a hotel... you're unlikely to have room service, minibar or flat-screen TV.

It is the happy baby step from a luxury hotel to camping where you can truly get back to nature without roughing it. Some have wood burning hot tubs or saunas. Light a campfire and bring your marshmallows for toasting. Perfect for the outdoor loving yet precious...
