Holidays in Corsica, France

Corsica is often referred to as the 'Mountain in the Sea', which accurately conjures images of high peaks rising above a turquoise sea. Whilst its Italian neighbour, Sardinia, is quite developed when it comes to tourism, Corsica's large and over-whelming landscape means a considerable proportion of it remains remote and unspoilt. The way of life in the traditional villages of the mountains and fishing ports is slow and relaxed, allowing you to instantly unwind.

Trekking and cycling are two of the most popular activity holidays on Corsica. The GR 20, the Corsican Haute Route, is perhaps the most famous activity on the island. This challenging trek spans Corsica from South to North, coast to coast, up and over jagged peaks and through remote mountain villages. High passes through the mountains and dramatic costal roads make Corsica a great option for a cycling holiday too. Pretty coves with clear, blue sea and white sand provide an excellent respite for weary legs and local specialties are sure to quench an appetite after a day's cycling.
