How to travel to the port:

The easiest way for foot passengers to reach the port is to take the train to Inverkeithing, where you can take a shuttle bus (scheduled to coincide with departures) to the ferry terminal.

Inverkeithing is served by trains from various destinations across Scotland, including a regular service from Edinburgh Waverley. There are regular trains from throughout the UK to Edinburgh Waverley.

From the port you can take a connecting shuttle bus to Bruges' central train station which connects to numerous destinations throughout the the country and internationally. There are also services from Zeebrugge's train station to Bruges, a few minutes walk or short taxi ride from the port.

Bruges itself is a beautiful mediaeval city of canals and cobbled streets, waiting to be discovered - see the official Bruges tourist board website for more information. If you're hankering to try some of Belgium's celebrated chocolate, there are plenty of gourmet chocolatiers in the city, such as the celebrated Old Chocolate House, and you can visit the city's Museum of Chocolate.
