How to travel to the port:

The easiest way for foot passengers to reach the port is to take the train to Portsmouth Harbour and then walk to the adjacent terminal building. You can also take a train to Portsmouth & Southsea station and change for services on to the harbour, or take a quick taxi.

Portsmouth's railway stations are served by numerous trains from destinations across the UK, including direct trains from London, Brighton and Southampton.

From the port it is a 10 to 15 minute walk up Fishbourne Lane to the bus stop, where you can take the number 4 (to East Cowes or Ryde) or number 9 (to Newport or Ryde) bus services. Ryde and Newport are transport hubs where you can connect for onward travel around the island.
