How to travel to the port:

The easiest way for foot passengers to reach the port is to take the train to Harwich International Rail Station, which is immediately adjacent to the port, so it is a quick transfer from the train platform to the ferry check-in.

There are regular rail services to Harwich from various destinations across the UK via London and major stations in East Anglia such as Norwich, Ipswich and Cambridge.

Harwich Port facilities: The terminal building has a shop, café, bar, ATM and bureau de change.

Transfer time: The rail terminal is directly in the ferry terminal so it's just a short walk through passport control onto the ferry.

Ferries depart Harwich at 1745 on uneven dates until July 31st, on even dates August 2 - 30, uneven dates September 1 - 19 and Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between September 22nd and November 28th. They arrive in Esbjerg the next day at 1300.

It's a 20 minute walk from Esbjerg ferry port to the city's main railway station. Alternatively, bus number 5 departs from just outside the ferry terminal building every 20 minutes, or you can take a taxi.
