The itinerary for this exhilarating family adventure in France has been designed to give the entire family plenty to do, so you'll never have to worry about what to do next. Based in France's Chamonix Valley, with the impressive Mont Blanc forever looming overhead, you'll get to try everything from guided walks and hikes along famous alpine trails to rock climbing, canyoning, white water rafting and riding Europe's highest cable car.

You'll also get to visit some exceptional accommodation, from comfortable chalet accommodation at the base to the traditional mountain refuge of Chalet Loriaz in Switzerland. As well as all this adventure, you'll also be left with some added free time so that you can indulge in a range of extra activities, from biking to wild swimming and ice-skating.

Brief Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival

Day 2:
The target for the day is the stunning Lac Blanc, which is widely considered to be the home of one of the most beautiful short walks in the world. Take a cable car to your mountain trail, offering great views of Mont Blanc and the Chamonix Valley.

Day 3:
Take a cable car to the summit of the Aiguille. From the top, you'll have unrivalled views out over the Swiss, French and Italian Alps. In the afternoon, you'll have some fun in the river Arve at the centre of Chamonix.

Day 4:
Today you'll walk into Switzerland, starting in Vallorcine and continuing up towards the traditional refuge of Chalet Loriaz. Spend lunchtime here before heading to one of Switzerland's largest dams.

Day 5:
Today you can choose between canyoning and rock climbing, either exploring Chamonix's river gorges or climbing the town's lakeside crag. eother way, you'll have the afternoon free to recover.

Day 6:
Set out for a 2-day adventure from Les Houches. Travel on a cable car and then cross under the Bionnassay glacier towards the Col de Tricot, before descending towards your chalet. Spend the afternoon exploring the valley.

Day 7:
Start with an optional climb of the Truc peak before heading down into Les Contamines. Then visit Les Contamines Adventure Park, where you can clamber through the forest using rope bridges, Tarzan swings and cargo nets.
