Nestling between the Ladder and Cromdale hills at the eastern edge of the Cairngorms National Park, the two Straths of the River Avon (pronounced A'an) and Livet are at the heart of the Glenlivet Estate. Boasting some of the finest scenery in North East Scotland, the estate positively encourages access, with a well mapped network of footpath and cycle trails.

BTCV Scotland has been working with Glenlivet Estate for over 10 years on a myriad of tasks ranging from step construction to restoring an old cairn. Our work is likely to encompass a variety of trail maintenance projects, from stile building to footpath construction; and will most definately give you an opportunity to work at a variety of locations around the estate. A work programme will be confirmed nearer the time - so do get in touch with any questions you may have.

We shall be staying in Kirkmicheal village hall - a cosy little hall nestled above the River Avon. Accommodation is simple and we will provide carrymats / airbeds for your use. If you would like to camp, then please bring your own tent. There is a shower on site. Once again, we shall aim to source as much food as locally as possble (organic too, when appropriate).

There is plenty to see and do in your spare time - there are plenty of beautiful walks in the area to enjoy. The whisky trail winds it's way through Glenlivet and the Distillery tour is well worth a visit or why not take a boat out fishing at Rothiemurchis (not included in BTCV's insurance), or watch the Ospreys at Boat of Garten!
