Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa has won the inaugural Ethical Travel Award of the Guardian and Observer Travel Awards. Read Andy Pietrasik's article on Guardian Unlimited.
Highly commended were Jordan's Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, Harlem Spirituals Gospel and Jazz Tours, and Sustrans (UK).
