Lovely Suffolk offers some of England's most serene scenery - a largely flat landscape of low lying heath, woodland and vast wetland areas home to some of the country's most unique and elusive wildlife - in addition to a long, largely sandy coastline littered with pretty, low key resorts. Inland the patchwork of woods, farms and low hills is interspersed with attractive, historic towns such as Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket and to the north the vast, ethereal waterworld of the Broads fans out, on into Norfolk.
