You'll be largely following the the route of the GR54, exploring the beautiful villages, high trails and viewpoints of the Valguademar Oisans and Briancon regions. As one of the wildest regions in the Alps, the route has core of high, glaciated peaks including the Meije (2983m), the Pelvoux, the Barre des Ecrins (4102m), the Ailefriode and the Olan.

Accompanying you will be an English-speaking local 'accompagnateur', aiding you in appreciating the heritage of a region in which shepherds and their faithful 'patous' dogs still wander the flower-filled meadows. With around 7 walking hours per day along clear way-marked tracks, this is a lengthy and extremely rewarding holiday.
