Greentraveller's Top Tip: If you’ve time to spare in Derby before your train connection why not wander through the vast range of stalls in Derby Market Hall and pick up some fresh produce. Then enjoy a picnic in one of Derby’s lovely green spaces, such as the Arboretum, the first and oldest surviving park in England, or Bass’s Recreation Ground. Both are excellent places to relax after a leisurely stroll in the market before heading back to the train station.
