Details of Urban Adventure in London: Londoner for a Day

Starting outside the renowned Criterion Restaurant we head off on foot to Regent Street, then stroll down exclusive Jermyn street, gazing at the famous gentlemen’s tailors and find out where the Queen buys her cheese. After wandering down sumptuous Victorian shopping arcades, we come out at Hatchards (the oldest book shop in London) and visit the wonderful Fortnum & Mason food emporium. Holder of Royal warrants for over 150 years, its staff are still uniformed in tailcoats, and it delivers by horse & carriage!

At Buckingham Palace, we might have the good fortune to witness the famous Changing of the Guards, before wandering through beautiful St James Park. Then we head on to Westminster and Whitehall, where we can glimpse the famous frontdoor at No.10 Downing Street before exploring into the quiet squares & grand old streets of Westminster and admiring the Houses of Parliament.

Next, we’ll head north to Covent Garden and squeeze past the famous English National Opera down a street that’s only 15 inches wide – before wandering around Covent Garden piazza, perusing its shops and cafés, spying the Bridge of Aspiration and exploring bohemian Neal’s Yard.

Then it’s on to the British Museum where you’ll learn about the history of the Rosetta stone & Parthenon Marbles, amongst many other treasures. After, we’ll head down the road and enter under the Arch of vibrant Chinatown and down the busy backstreets of Soho before emerging into the shadow of Eros to finish the tour amidst the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus.
