This interactive experience will give you an informative lesson in the history of fresco as well as a real chance to try your hand at creating a fresco using traditional materials and techniques.

The workshop takes place in the private studio of a succesful fresco artist, and starts with a brief explanatory overview of the fresco. You are then guided, step-by-step through all the stages of creation: preparing the surface, drawing and transferring a drawing (cartoon), and the final step: applying the paint. You have the chance to experience for yourself the art of fresco painting through use of the same materials and techniques that were employed by the Renaissance masters.
