Overview of Cycling the Vineyards of Burgundy
As the self-styled 'Land of Great Art and Good Living', it's a good job that Burgundy has so much to offer. Not only is this one of France's top wine regions, it is also covered with the greenest of fields, separated only by traditional villages or broad-leaved woodland. This 8-day self-guided cycling trip brings you to the vineyards and town responsible for some of the most recognisable names in French wine, including Pommard, Beaune, Nuits Saint Georges
You'll also get to spend some time in Pommard and Beaune, as well as following the myriad canals and country roads that are so iconic of this region. We'd advise making the optional trip to the centre of Beaune, where you can not only visit the magnificent Art Museum and Hospice de Beaune (a top spot for architecture), but you can also find out about the wine making process and even try a few samples. After all, this trip is all about indulging in the food and wine that make this such a special region.
