This is a fantastic opportunity to get stuck into Nordic touring, with gentle terrain and distances that are gradually built up over the duration of the holiday. You'll start with trips of around 10 - 12km (plus some added coaching) and end up completing a few full day treks that'll give you a unique insight into this most beautiful of landscapes - the Venabu area lies just to the south of the Rondane mountains, north of Lillehammer and just east of the Oslo - Trondheim railway.

Making full use of the local Nordic track network, you'll get to explore the verdant meadows, frozen lakes and dense forests of the Rondane mountain region to develop your Nordic skiing skills. Using on and off-track spaces to tour and trek, you'll progress as a group, tailoring each day's itinerary to your specific level and confidence. Ideally, you'll end up completing a circular tour along the ridge of Nordre Bolhogda or a visit to the cone of Svartfjellet. By the end of the holiday, you'll be able to complete full hut-to-hut tours, having greatly developed your Nordic touring skills.
