This walking holiday has been designed to be enjoyed without the use of a car. Of course, you are welcome to bring your car if you prefer but many of the walks and activities can be enjoyed directly from the front door of your accommodation - so why not do your bit for the environment and leave the car at home?

You will be based in Newtonmore for this short break. This is a small Highland village (pop approx 1500) surrounded by beautiful old forests and hills which offer wonderful views to the main Cairngorms plateau and also to the Monadh Liath mountains.

There is an important wetlands nature reserve which offers excellent bird-watching, a world-renowned mountain biking centre and historic barracks which date back to the 13th century. So whatever your interests, Newtonmore makes an excellent base for a few days exploring.
