Sample itinerary: Rise early to catch the 0600 train from Östersund to Stockholm, where you can connect easily to the 1221 service to Copenhagen, arriving at 1733. This gives you plenty of time to make the 1842 sleeper service to Cologne. From Cologne, take the 0644 service to Brussels, where you've got plenty of time to transfer to the 0929 Eurostar service back to the UK.

| Leg 1: | Östersund to Stockholm Trains depart Östersund daily at 0600 during the week and 0800 at weekends, and there are two further year-round services at 1728 and 2052 (arriving in Stockholm at 0337). From December 14th until May 2nd there are trains at 1040, 1523 and 1710 (there is also a train at 1153 on Thursdays), and a 1547 service on Saturdays from May 3 - June 19. |

| Destination | Welcome to London. St Pancras International now has lots of lovely shops, restaurants and gastro pubs... and free wifi throughout the station. If you're planning to stay in the capital, there are over 60 hotels within a one mile radius of St Pancras (by the way, the new spectacular St Pancras Midland Grand Hotel - a 5-star Marriott hotel - has now opened!). From St Pancras, there are mainline rail connections to Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield, as well as First Capital Connect trains on the cross-London Thameslink route which continues north as far as Bedford or south to Gatwick Airport and Brighton. Across the street is Kings Cross station, which has rail connections to the north of England and Scotland, and it's a 15-minute walk (in the opposite direction, heading west) to Euston Station for connections to the West Midlands, the West Coast (including Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester) and Glasgow (including the Scotrail sleeper service). |
