Tory Bush Eco-Loft is the latest addition to the Tory Bush Cottages in the scenically remarkable Mourne Mountains region of Co.Down in Northern Ireland. The Cottage Complex is manged on strong environmental principles, we are striving to get European Eco-Flower Accreditation, the Eco-loft has taken this aspiration a stage further.
The Loft is insulated with sheeps wool, it is heated by a wood pellet boiler, supplemented by a log burning stove. The water is harvested rain-water, heated by a solar panel. The internal walls are timber frame lined with a wall board made from compressed news-paper and Gypsum reclaimed from coal-fired power station chimneys. We operate a robust recycling segregation system. There are bicycles available to hire on site.
