Each of our residences offers three en suite bedrooms of the highest quality sleeping six in luxurious comfort and practicality. Our large open plan living areas include large kitchen and dining areas with a lounge areas that benefits from log fire and large flat screen TV. Award winning design, stunning open plan living and sustainable build are only a few highlights of these superb residences.
From the start we knew we wanted to create something special. A new kind of luxury residence that offered a different experience for travellers to this hugely popular National Park. We wanted to design residences that blurred the boundaries between the living area and the luxury provided by nature. The huge expanse of glass positively invites our guests to explore nature and allows the magnificence of the surroundings to be as much a part of the luxury experience as the exquisite attention to detail we offer internally. We wanted also to capture the luxury of space and freedom in the design. By making our residences open plan and by choosing furniture that blurs the division between living, eating and cooking we sought to make the whole experience inclusive and conducive to holidaying as a group.
"For people who don’t like to forgo creature comforts when they visit the countryside, it’s the ideal weekend retreat"
"The idea behind Natural Retreats... is it to provide luxury accommodation that is also sustainable. Yorkshire is its first development, but the formula has been rolled out across the UK, with five retreats in Ireland, as well as two in England. It has certainly got the luxury part right. Don’t come here for a rustic cottage with crumbling walls and an Aga. Our three bedroom apartment has a show-home feel, perhaps because it’s new, and the design is contemporary. Even the wood burner looks state of the art. The kitchen is better equipped than mine at home, with a shiny new dishwasher and microwave; our bedroom has an ensuite wet room, and there’s underfloor heating, plus a massive flat-screen TV, DVD player and sound system in the main room."

"There were a few other houses beside us, which was great for the children, who immediately made friends and were cycling from house to house within minutes. Public or private, you won’t be spending much time inside your hideaway, as the countryside seems to pull you towards it like a magnet here."
