Details of Log Cabin Escape in Värmland

With just three cabins located in a quiet forest setting 75m from the water's edge, Log Cabin Escape in Värmland offers everything you might want from a log cabin holiday in Sweden.

The cabins sleep up to 6 persons in 2 x 2-person rooms and 1 x 2-person sleeping loft, making them ideal for couples, small groups or families or families. The cabins have fully equipped kitchens for self-catering. For stays during the chillier months, there is a wood-burning stove to enjoy romantic evenings and also a sauna available for your use in nearby building - marvellous in the winter but a great experience at any time of year!

With each cabin you will also have your own boat, fitted with an environmentally-friendly 4-stroke motor. Many guests choose to use the boat to explore the network of lakes in the area and discover a secret beach or picnic spot, while if you are a keen fisherman, you will find the area ideal for pike, perch and trout (depending on season), as the cabins are located within a Fishing Preservation Area and you are welcome to eat from your catch during your stay.

The area is rich in wildlife, and you may well spot a beaver cutting gracefully through the water or a moose standing silent on a forest path. You can also choose to explore by canoe, or travel deep into the woods on foot or by mountain bike. Alternatively, just relax on the veranda and enjoy the view.

Although the village is in a remote location with no local amenities, there is certainly no need to have a car during your stay (unless you would like to explore some of the local villages and restaurants within easy travelling distance, of course!). Your host will meet you for transfer from the local train station and can allow time for you to purchase provisions for your stay. If you need to top up while at the cabins, your host can arrange a lift to the local stores.
