Hotel Castelfidardo is a small, family run hotel that has recently been refurbished. it is only a five minute walk away from Termini train station with good connections to other destinations in Europe.
Day 1 Rome: The busy streets, iconic sights and spacious piazzas of Rome are best explored on foot. Try to pack in those unmissable icons such as the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps and the Roman Forum.
Days 2-3 Florence: Marvel at the wonders in this 'outdoor museum', including the 13th century Duomo with its fiery depiction of the Last Judgement.
Days 4-6 Lucca/ Pisa: With its narrow streets, centuries-old churches and ancient ramparts, the medieval town of Lucca radiates charm. Explore the surrounding countryside by bicycle, perhaps stopping along the way to enjoy a Tuscan picnic.
Days 7-8 Cinque Terre: Walk the coastal path that links the five villages and be rewarded with stunning views and fresh sea air. For a more relaxed journey, take the local train between the cliff-top towns.
Days 9-10 Piedmont: Visit the glamorous resort of Portofino before heading on to Piedmont where mouth-watering culinary delights await.
Days 11-12 Milan/ Italian Lakes: Begin the day sashaying through stylish Milan then head to the lake country in the afternoon. Unwind by the emerald waters of Lake Como or take to the hills for great hiking and expansive mountain views.
Days 13-15 Venice: Discover the magic of la dolce vita in one of the world's most romantic cities. Stroll past the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge, the Basilica di San Marco and the evocative Bridge of Sighs before this Italian odyssey concludes - perhaps with a final platter of cheese and a glass of wine.
