How do I get involved?

We welcome applications from accommodation owners. If you think your accommodation is the kind of place that could be featured on greentraveller, please do fill in the application form below. Please note that what you write in this form will not be published on the site, it is just for our reference. There are three levels of listing you can apply for:

1. Standard listing: £85 a year (€102), which includes basic details about your property, such as opening times throughout the year, price, price of meals (or distance to nearest restaurant), types of rooms, plus address and contact details for reservations and url of your website. You can also publish up to four pictures of your property and its location. Example of a standard listing: Milden Hall and Tudor barn, Suffolk, England

2 Enhanced listing: £150 a year (€180), which includes all the details above PLUS you are able to post your own description of your property (up to 500 words). Example of an enhanced listing: Yr Hen Stablau, Mid Wales, UK

3. Reviewed listing: £250 a year (€302), which includes all the details above PLUS your listing will contain a review written by greentraveller based on a visit by one of our travel writers (nb. we would not necessarily require an overnight stay). Your full listing will then include the top level branding: Reviewed by Greentraveller and your listing will come at the top of searches on the site. Example of a reviewed listing: Beechenhill Farm, Peak District, England

Please feel free to get in touch with us if you'd like to discuss the options - email: jessica@greentraveller.co.uk

Please also tell us a little bit about how you try to minimise the impact of your accommodation on the environment:

For example, do you have solar thermal for hot water, photo-voltaic panels and/or wind turbines for generating electricity, and/or ground-source heat pumps? How well insulated is the building? Are your appliances, such as fridges and kettles, A-rated or better?

For example, do you provide recycling bins for guests? Are they separated into plastic, paper, card, aluminium and glass? Do you have bulk dispenses instead of miniatures for toiletries, bathroom soaps and shampoo?

For example, do you have water savers in cisterns, flow restrictors in showerheads and taps? How do you reduce the amount of washing? Do you use environmentally friendly cleaning products? Do you harvest rainwater for use in toilets and/or garden? Do you meter and monitor your water supply?

Do you provide local and/or seasonal and/or organic food? Do you offer vegetarian food?

For example, do you provide information for guests on how to arrive by bike and/or public transport? Do you offer a discount for guests arriving on foot, by bike or by public transport?

Please tell us if there are any other green initiatives you have done that you think we should know about.

A small gift (such as a jar of jam or bottle of plonk), you can offer customers who have booked after seeing your listing on greentraveller. Only those that quote 'greentraveller' when they book with you will be eligible to receive this gift.
NB this is optional. The aim is to help track who has booked a stay with you from greentraveller. If you decide not to provide this facility, it will not prejudice your application in any way, we promise!
