greentraveller.co.uk is a website that provides information on how to have a greener holiday. We feature many amazing trips that can be conveniently reached by train and lots of green and gorgeous places to stay in the UK and abroad. We also have a blog packed with tips on how to go green from leading eco travel writers.

Greentraveller has excellent visibility on search engines, partly because of its unique, professionally written content and also because it is linked from over 140 websites including many high profile resources, such as the BBC, the Guardian, the Independent, The Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Mail, Conde Nast Traveller, as well as highly respected green-minded magazines such as The Ecologist, Resurgence and Green Futures. Eco credentials

Please also tell us a little bit about how you try to minimise the impact of your accommodation on the environment:

For example, do you have solar thermal for hot water, photo-voltaic panels and/or wind turbines for generating electricity, and/or ground-source heat pumps? How well insulated is the building? Are your appliances, such as fridges and kettles, A-rated or better?

For example, do you provide recycling bins for guests? Are they separated into plastic, paper, card, aluminium and glass? Do you have bulk dispenses instead of miniatures for toiletries, bathroom soaps and shampoo?

For example, do you have water savers in cisterns, flow restrictors in showerheads and taps? How do you reduce the amount of washing? Do you use environmentally friendly cleaning products? Do you harvest rainwater for use in toilets and/or garden? Do you meter and monitor your water supply?

Do you provide local and/or seasonal and/or organic food? Do you offer vegetarian food?

For example, do you provide information for guests on how to arrive by bike and/or public transport? Do you offer a discount for guests arriving on foot, by bike or by public transport?

Please tell us if there are any other green initiatives you have done that you think we should know about.

Please feel free to get in touch with us if you'd like to discuss the options - email: sales@greentraveller.co.uk
