Walking the Final Stage of the Camino de Santiago, Spain
Follow in the footsteps of millions and complete the final 113km stage of the Camino pilgrimage during this 5 day walking holiday in Spain, roaming through rural farmland, ancient woodland and countless quaint villages.
£345
With this fantastic trip you'll follow in the footsteps of millions of pilgrims as you take on the final stage of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, otherwise known as 'The Way of St James', a 780km pilgrimage originating in St Jean Pied de Port and finishing at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. Covering a distance of some 113km along the route (well signposted thanks to the traditional yellow and blue scallop points), this final section boasts a good number of small villages and quiet hamlets as well as a handful of farming regions and charming woodlands. Eventually, the woodland will give way to reveal the magnificent Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and your end point, the towering Cathedral.
The highlights of the trip include: Getting away from it all and wandering through the rolling hillsides, getting to experience a number of ancient churches and other interesting buildings, meeting fellow pilgrims and, of course, getting to receive the Compostela certificate, awarded to everyone that has completed more than 100km of the pilgrimage. Along the way you'll bed down in a selection of hostels, hotels and rural hotels, all of which will offer a warm welcome, traditional hospitality and some fantastic home cooked Spanish food.
