We depart St Pancras International by Eurostar for Brussels, travelling in Standard Premier Class, where a light meal and drinks are served. Here we change trains and continue to Amsterdam in First Class and on arrival, we board on the ship MS Amalyra to enjoy a cocktail reception and welcome dinner. The ship offers excursions and facilities on board to their guests
After breakfast, we discover the historic canals of Amsterdam on a local canal boat, followed by a tour of the city by coach. We return to the ship for lunch while we sail to Volendam, where we have a walking tour. There, we take a coach excursion to the village of Edam, famous for its cheese, where we'll have the chance to taste it. We cruise during the night towards Arnhem.
Once in Arnhem, we visit the site of the Battle for Arnhem Bridge during 'Operation Market Garden', as well as the Arnhem Museum Hartenstein. We continue our trip to Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands, where we enjoy free time to visit the city independently. This evening we sail to Belgium.
We start the day with a guided walking tour of Antwerp, where we will visit the Grote Market, the town hall and the Church of Our Lady. During the afternoon the visitors can visit themselves the city or join the excursion to visit Brussels. After dinner we sail towards Ghent.
In the morning a guided tour of Ghent is offered, where we will discover places such as the "Castle of the Counts". During the afternoon you're free to explore Ghent independently, or take an optional excursion to visit Bruges.
This morning we cruise through the region of Zeeland. In this region the Delta Works project is located, one of the most complex engineering projects. Besides visiting those projects, we will stop in Willemstad for a walking tour. Lunch will be served on the ship while we cruise to Kinderdijk.
Before arriving to Utrecht, we cruise the Amsterdam Rhine canal and we will visit the Keukenhof Gardens, where we will have the chance to see the bulb flowers in bloom. We return to Amsterdam for lunch and enjoy a free afternoon.
Today we travel from Amsterdam to Brussels by train and change to the Eurostar service to London, travelling in Standard Premier Class, where a light meal and drinks are served during your journey.
More about the trains
Eurostar: The high speed Eurostar trains link St Pancras International in London with Paris, Lille and Brussels. In your dedicated Standard Premier (the highest class of Eurostar travel available for leisure customers) carriage you'll find a less dense seat configuration, meaning the seats are larger and you have ample space to relax and stretch out. As part of the service you'll enjoy complimentary drinks and refreshments, served at your seat by friendly, helpful waiting staff.

Customer Comments
"Thank you for your letter inviting my views on the Dutch Bulbfields Cruise. The three of us had a terrific tour and a Great Rail Journey to remember. The travel arrangements were exemplary, the itinerary had been well put together, the passengers' cabins on the ship were luxurious, the food was plentiful, and the weather was excellent. Great Rail Journeys chose a first-class Tour Manager for our holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for her. God willing we shall travel with GRJ again. We have not travelled much in Southern France and have never visited Spain, so would welcome details of any tours you offer with itineraries including these countries. Perhaps in your publicity you could say thank you to passengers who help their fellow travellers handle luggage on your holidays. We were very fortunate in this regard as some kind members of our group took it upon themselves to put on and stow/take off luggage for less physically able folk like ourselves. Of course the Tour Manager also helped them." Mr and Mrs Wakeling
