Brittany
Brittany has long been a holiday destination for families from the UK, eager to get some sun, sea, sand and, of course, fine French food and wine. Whilst it remains an excellent option for those looking for a simple, hassle free holiday with the kids, it is also home to some stunning walking routes, cycling paths and excellent accommodation options. The Granite coast in Northern Brittany is home to a turquoise sea, which glistens alongside bustling fishing ports and traditional farming hamlets. Further south, the Emerald Coast has some of France's longest white sand beaches and traffic-free country lanes, excellent for cycling.
If you are with the kids then why not take them on a holiday they'll never forget and set up camp in your very own treehouse. Or for those looking for a more peaceful break, take a tour through some of the regions B&Bs, which give you the chance to explore quaint fishing towns. Brittany is incredibly easy to reach from the UK. Check out our plan your journey by ferry page to get all the information that you need about departure ports and ferry times.
