Ruth's fascination with travel started early, with summer holidays spent in France, Greece and Italy and Christmases in Roskilde. Later, she spent two years in Kampala and has travelled widely in East Africa. She has also lived in Dubai and has seen a lot of the Middle East, with the Omani desert and the bustling Cairo streets among her favourite spots. Now the Green Living Editor at the Ecologist, she has also written for World Travel Guide, Running in Heels, The Copenhagen Post and UAE-based publications, Insider, iQ and Beauty, Health and Wellness.
