Jo Keeling

In her 10 years as a journalist, Jo has established a series of walking, cycling and day trip guides for Countryfile, worked as a staff writer on an Indian city newspaper, and launched a vintage lifestyle magazine celebrating creative and sustainable living and co-authored a wild guide to the South West. She is currently establishing a new independent magazine called Ernest Journal - a companion for curious and adventurous gentlefolk.

Jo loves Britain with a passion and has a soft spot for winter beaches, Victorian lidos, tree swings and campfires. Not to mention a healthy obsession with train journeys and slow adventure. She grew up in the north on muddy moorland walks and hearty one-pot suppers, but has since embedded herself in Bristol where she pens features from her garden shed. When not working, she searches for new West Country rivers to swim in and buries herself in books about explorers. She can stare at a map for hours.

Jo has written the following guides for Greentraveller:

Greentraveller's Guide to Northumberland National Park
Greentraveller's Guide to the Northumberland Coast
Greentraveller's Guide to Arnside and Silverdale
