Chris Woodley Stewart
Chris is the Director of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership and has worked in conservation for nearly 25 years.
A Yorkshireman living in the North East, He's also worked in Cheshire, North Essex and the Chilterns. He's a great believer in the idea that spending time in nature has so many benefits for us - not just the obvious ones in terms of physical well-being, but also in its ability to remind us what really matters, and to renew the mind and the spirit, as well as the body.
He wanders, and wonders, in the countryside his rescue-collie, Alfie, and sometimes with wife and two daughters too. As well as having a deep passion for the natural world he also loves music, and stories of all kinds. Chris is convinced that a buzzard once saved his life, but that's another story....
