Treshnish and Haunn Cottages nominated for Scottish Thistle Awards

Treshnish & Haunn cottages are set amidst Mull's gorgeous, windswept sceneryOne of the outstanding green accommodations featured on greentraveller - Treshnish and Haunn Cottages - has been named as a finalist in the Sustainable Tourism category of the Scottish Thistle Awards.

The eight 3- and 4-star cottages on the beautiful northwest coast of Mull, Scotland have a woodchip boiler, wind turbine and solar panels and a range of other environmentally friendly features - from energy efficient laundry to reclaimed flooring.

Also nominated in the Sustainable Tourism (and Innovation) categories is Rabbie's Trail Burners, a tour operator (also featured on greentraveller), which organises small group mini-coach tours for independent travellers.

The Scottish Thistle Awards are the main quality awards in the Scottish tourism industry. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, 29 October.
