Introducing: Yvonne Gordon

Yvonne Gordon transporting wine by sailWe're delighted to welcome Yvonne Gordon to Greentraveller's team of travel writers. 

Yvonne Gordon is a travel and features writer whose work has been published in The Irish Times, The Irish Independent, The Irish Mail on Sunday, Metro, The Guardian, The National, Abroad magazine and Private Islands magazine. She also writes for travel guides such as DK Eyewitness and Explorer Publishing and she co-wrote DK Eyewitness Travel – Back Roads Ireland, an exploration of Ireland’s unexplored countryside, published in 2010.

Yvonne’s recent travel adventures in Europe include exploring the Elaphiti islands in Croatia, sailing the Amalfi coast on a tall ship, making pancakes with a Lapp reindeer herder in the Arctic and tasting ‘green’ wine which was carried to Dublin by sailing ship (right).

When not writing or travelling, Yvonne can often be found harnessing the power of the wind or the waves, either sailing on Ireland’s east coast or surfing in the northwest
